Honesty and sincerity are wonderful qualities to have and I wish for all our ladies to feel comfortable enough to share their lives in this Connect Group.
My name is Jane and I have been a member of BCC for over 10 years. I am married to Ken and have two young children. Ken and I currently facilitate two separate Connect Groups; one for ladies and one for men. My group is for ladies whose husband's attend the men's group. We have found that co-ordinating these two groups, which meet together on alternate Tuesday evenings, means that 'the other half' is able to babysit and therefore relieve a huge hassle for women like me who want to attend evening church meetings but also have to arrange childcare.
We like to meet and share treats and cups of tea or glasses of wine whilst talking about our daily lives and how God is present with us in our day to day. We are currently reading a couple of recommended Christian books over the summer which we will then discuss in a 'book club' setting to share opinions and ideas. I like to think of our group as being a safe place to come after a long hard day's work at home or in a job where ladies of all ages can relax and be themselves.
